Privacy Policy
Shiftly is a free app for tracking work hours, earnings and invoices. It is built to keep your information on your phone and in your control. This policy explains exactly what that means.
The short version
Shiftly has no accounts, no servers, no advertising and no analytics. The shifts, jobs, invoices, photos and settings you create stay on your device. We do not collect, receive, sell or share your personal information.
What is stored, and where
Your name, shifts, pay rates, jobs, invoices and invoice details (such as your business name, ABN or tax number, and bank details) are stored only on your phone, inside the app. They never leave your device unless you choose to export or share them.
Because nothing is uploaded, we cannot see, recover or restore your data. If you delete the app or erase your data, it is gone. Use Export hours in Profile to keep a copy.
Camera, location and photos
Camera: used only in the Timestamp tab to take photos. Photos are not uploaded anywhere.
Location: used only in the Timestamp tab, while the app is open, to add your GPS position and address to a photo. To turn coordinates into a street address, iOS may send the coordinates to Apple's location services; that lookup is handled by Apple, not by Shiftly.
Photos: Shiftly can save your stamped photos to your photo library. It asks for add-only access, so it cannot see or read the photos already in your library.
You can decline any of these permissions and still use the rest of the app. You can change them at any time in your iPhone's Settings.
Invoices and exports
Invoices are created as PDF files on your device. Exported hours are created as a CSV file on your device. Nothing is sent anywhere until you choose to share a file using the iOS share sheet, and then it goes only to the app or person you pick.
Third parties
Shiftly does not use third-party analytics, advertising, crash-reporting or tracking services, and does not share data with any third party.
Keeping and deleting your data
Your data stays on your device until you remove it. You can delete a shift or invoice at any time, erase everything from Profile › Erase all data, or delete the app. There is no account to close.
Children
Shiftly does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children, because it collects nothing.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will appear in the app with a new date at the top, and on this page.
